Well at least it wasn’t raining hard this time and we were playing against a team that we only lost by 2 points by in the first round so we thought we could win this one. With the help of Steph and Kat we started the 1st half off really good, there were some great combinations and excellent shooting by both Kat and Ema. 2nd half we started to lose it and with only scoring 3 goals in the last 20mins we were unable to get back into the swing of things. So yet again we ended up going down 25-15. Player of the day… yip you guessed it, was Arilicous so delicious and notorious (pretzel) Next week we play the other SV team again.

This week was a First vs Last place clash. And there wasn’t about to be an upset on the cards either.
We had some good patches of play. The weather turned to absolute rubbish and was hailing and everything.
Kinda hard to play when you cant even see where your going!
Ari was awesome yet again, such a high workrate, very much deserving player of the day. Final score 30-7 or round about!

05-07-08 (Neeks (WOW))

What a way to start a game after a big storm the night before, it was freezing cold and it was starting to hail just before we took the court. But all in all everyone was in a mood and ready to play. The 1st half started off really well with goal for goal from both sides, Awesome talking and moving from the attack end helped kept the flow moving. Score after the 1st quarter was 5 – 6 to HSOG, We were only down by 1 goal wow could this really be happing we could have a chance here. So of to play the 2nd quarter we still kept the flow going and everyone seemed to being having fun. 3rd quarter we started to slow down our game a bit but it was still goal for goal, Awesome play from Renee who was working hard down in the defence end with some beauty intercepts.
Wow last quarter time and Boy we must be playing as a team today as there was no yelling or screaming from Jenni this time before going into the last quarter, All positive thoughts reason being it was 15-15, OMG could this be it, could this be our first win of the season ladies if this is meant to be dam there will be a few beers/Wines being sunken tonight………… but unfortunately I will have to end this big buzz here as we ending up going down 21-16 to HSOG. Talk about an anti climax, but heads up ladies it was a great game and we can learn from this we still have plenty of games left and still have a chance to win. Other wise Renee W (nee Nixon) will do a undie run at the Snr 1st last rugby game. 
POD and well deserved went to Rach Ash (Fairy). Great work Awesome feeding and talking into the goal circle you truly played and awesome game.

28-06-08

This week we played Maidstone Utd. They are a team that were completely beatable however unfortunately due to people being unavailable we had to play with only 6 players for the first half – so what can you do. We started pretty good considering. Due to strange umpiring calls and bad listening skills by the girls the game quickly became one-sided.
The second half, Rebecca came along to help safe us however it just wasn’t going to be enough for a win. Player of the day this week went to Lauren who played in goal for the first time this season.

21-06-08

New round, new chances for a win. That chance didn't happen this week.
We played really well for the first 3 quarters, keeping it a draw at half time then lost it in the last quarter. It was even a draw at half time. Great shooting from Neeks and Ema, with this weeks Player of the day going to Ema Van Nistelrooy. Let's keep it up for next week against Maidstone who is a team we can definitely beat!

07-06-08 (Lauren)

We played Convent Old Girls 5. We were lucky to get the game over with before the heavens opened. We were going to have to play with 5 girls but Steph and Renee from SV1 came to our rescue. Game started really well. With some great shooting from Neeks and Steph we were going goal for goal. Holy moly the goals were going in, such a good feeling. With some intercepts we were able to keep them to 2 goals in the final quarter. We scored the most goals of the season in this game and only lost by 4 which is promising. Great game from Neeks, who thoroughly deserved player of the day. Final score 20-16. Bring on next week against SV5!

24-05-08

We had two games this week so it was always going to be a tough ask for our fitness.
Had Te Aroha first up. Started well and it was looking like it would be an even game but it was the usual story of the goals not going in.
Renee Wonnacott was in stella form at GK grabbing intercepts left right and centre but unfortunatley we couldnt capitalise down the other end. Renee was our well deserved player of the game.
After a few refreshments we were back to take on Hutt City4. Started really well, goal for goal. Its the basics that let us down week in week out. Ari( Pretezel) was on fire, also grabbing intercepts all over the place. Real team effort this game but player of the game went to Ari.
We had fun so thats the main thing.

17-05-08

Not the best of games however hang in there girls! So far it's been a hard start to the season. It's taking a little longer to get it together than expected but you will get there. Shooters just Practice! Practice! Practice! It's sooooo much easier when the goals are going in. It's very much about getting use to each other as a team and before long it will come so much easier than what it has been. You have all got it in you so just let it out and show us what ya got! :

10-05-08

We had a bare seven to play HSOG4. We were still winless so were going out hoping to come away with a win as they were only mid table. Things started alright but the wheels started to fall off during the second quarter after Ari was subbed after being sick.
After re-grouping before the fourth quarter and Ari returning to the court things worked a lot better.
Was definitely the best quarter of the game but it's a 4 quarter game so next week we will be out to play for 4 whole quarters and score more goals!
We can only get better from here.
